The Colorado Independent: White wants state of Colorado to go into the weed business

This is such a joke, even if you planted marijuana on every square inch of soil in Colorado you still could not beat the cartels. If you run a monopoly on a drug, isn't that what a cartel is?

Colorado is not in a state of 'de facto' legalization. You have to go see a doctor, fill out paper work, pay money to the state, make photo copies, and literally jump through some major hoops to become a medical marijuana patient in Colorado. It takes work, and those who put the work in are supporting and respecting the laws of the state to the 'T'. Our website is devoted to growing medical marijuana in the High Country (http://www.highcountrycaregiver.com).

The best part is that there is no way that any of these politicians are ever going to be able to stop a plant from growing, especially now!

Mr. White from all I have read appears to be a bright legislator but this is a dim witted idea. The state should not be in the pot growing, dispensing business. Regulate medical marijuana, license the sellers (for a fee) and tax the product but stay away from the growing, harvesting and retail drug business.
