    But ski area expansion and oil and gas development are also obviously big issues. With most ski areas making their money on real estate development, there's an endless appetite to expand onto more acreage.

    One draft plan in; one out The White River National Forest Travel Plan draft is finally out after a year's delay and now we hear the draft forest management plan for the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests will be pulled back while officials review it for compliance with the Energy Polticy Act of 2005.


    Well, I looked up the act and could not find anything to do with national forests.


    The plot thickens and I'll have to investigate further.....
