The Colorado Independent: Vasectomies snip out common sense

Young men taking control of and responsibility for their fertility ... the horror!

It's good these jump in the sack with anybody anytime anywhere jerks aren't going to be fathering any children.

What decent woman would want them, with their high chances of contracting STD's?

Good review, Wendy. I agree with wildflower that it's good these jerks have stopped swimming in the gene pool.

In a way I am glad for even a puff piece on vasectomy -- an important birth control option for men that doesn't get enough coverage.

@rdosser. Being responsible about contraception is always admirable but there's a lot more going on here than that

Great! They aren't adding to the gene pool. Who cares what diseases they get then? I don't. Their lives, their choices.

look, I'm not claiming that every woman does the "Oops, I'm pregnant" thing, But I now have a child (Whom I love to death) because of one such girl. I believe that contraceptives outside of condems (which were used in my situation) should be available.

Not all women are hellbent on forcing the guy they're sleeping with into marrying them, but then, some are. As someone who honestly wishes to be responsible, I think getting a vasectomy at this point in my life would be a good thing, because as events in my life show, even a woman you've spent 3 years with, and discussed at length how a child at this age would be highly inappropriate, can make a mistake. (or in this case an entire months worth of mistakes, and not notify the person she's now expecting child support from, before it became a problem.)

One more thing, I've spent nearly 6 hours on the internet looking for Male contraceptives, and can't find any available, other then a vasectomy, so it seems like our only options.

I got my vasectomy at age 19 years ago at my HMO. They didn't ask any questions other than my age nor did they require any counseling beforehand. Basically, I always knew I didn't want to put up with kids or the lying bitches who claim they don't want them and then try to force the man into child support. . I also never trusted women to tell me the truth about their desire for motherhood or parenthood either. It's a great idea for men to join the Maririage Strike and and help drive the birth rates and marriage rates into the ground in this country.
