    Defining "Cows" and "Cows" Bob Beauprez has mentioned that he grew up on a dairy farm. A female elk is also called a "cow," so perhaps Beauprez has gotten confused over this similar terminology.


    Domestic dairy cows can be herded down a path into a barn or corral. However, a cow elk being a wild animal and everything, has a different opinion about enclosures and roadways.
