    This is hilarious. The media have been McCain's "base" for years, helping him plug his false "maverick" image while covering up for his many, many missteps, flip-flops and outright lies.     Maybe the media are just catching up with the rest of the world, which is falling in love with a young, intelligent, energetic Obama.
