The Colorado Independent: Tancredo Donor More Than Just Pro-Choice

  • Erin Rosa · 2 years ago
    Tanton CoCo has written a bit about Tanton as well.

    He may be pro-choice, but it seems only because he believes that whites are losing power:

    Take this quote for instance:

    <div class="blockquote">

    As Whites see their power and control over their lives declining, will they simply go quietly into the night? Or will there be an explosion? Why don't non-Hispanic Whites have a group identity, as do Blacks, Jews, Hispanics?
    </div>

    He also shares various connections to white supremacists.

    Interesting angle for Brownback to take.

    but wait there's more... Tanton's anti-immigration groups also got some well-deserved scrutiny at Lies, Damn Lies and Immigration Statistics.

    What an odd fight for Brownback to pick unless he's really trying to smear Tancredo as a radical xenophobe unlike the senator from Kansas who's made his own bed with the anti-immigration forces.

    Tanton's work appears in local media, too Tanton's work also has shown up in the Denver market courtesy of Peter Boyles of KHOW-AM and Al Knight of the Denver Post:

    Brownback and open border kooks out in full force? Looks like somebody is trying to create themselves a boogeyman.  More proof that Tancredo is winning over many people in Iowa and New Hampshire.

    As a member of NumberUSA, I can tell you that not a single shred of racism has ever been part of that organization.  It has both liberal and conservative backers.

    As for campaign contributors, I don't Brownback really wants us to dig through his list, huh?  I've always been amused by accusations about people who've contributed to Candidate XYZ's campaign and their personal views.

    3 points to be made here.

    1) It is lunacy to suggest that anyone that contributes to your campaign has to 100% believe in your platform or views.  The fact is that Tom is 100% pro-life and also 100% for securing the borders.  This Tanton guy 100% agrees with the 2nd point only - securing the borders - so what.

    2) This issue regardign illegal immigration is special...and politicians know it.  Big business knows it.  85% of Americans know it.  New alliances between unions, liberals, conservatives, pro-life, and pro-choice, and religious conservatives are being forged to deal with this issue.  We're being sold out by the aristocracy and elites...and many, including myself, are willing to put our other agendas on hold to resolve this critical issue.

    3) Locally in Iowa, Tom's campaign has been very clear to point out to Brownback supporters that he has (and continues to) sell out his country to special interests on this issue.  I see this weekly in Republican forums.  This is Brownback simply going "dirty" to fight back.  This DOES indicate Tancredo has hit a nerve.

    Conservative? Enviromentalists, population control freaks, anti-market, abortions mills, Catholic-bashing freaks. All of this DIRECTLY connected to the little Italian dark-type character Signore Tancredo. He does not look very "Conservative" to me, does he? Traditional conservativism is Roman Catholic, anti-French revolution, pro-Western civilization, individualist and capitalist. Not nativist redneckishm big-brother-controls-all. Thus, he is not conservative. Viva el Brownback!
