The Colorado Independent: Scrambling the ‘Egg-as-Person’ Ballot Measure

Wow... equal rights? As much as this is an obvious attempt to label abortion as murder, I am more intrigued with the idea of the first fetal age discrimination case, or even the possibility of somebody suing for defamation of character on that well-known pro-life icon's behalf, the huge gross picture of an aborted fetus.

Will politicians now be able to accept contributions in the name of the unborn?  The tax possibilities are amazing if you're able to count the sheer number of dependents (and what's more dependent than a fertilized egg?)  Will there now be privacy concerns with ultrasounds?

there's a host of issues with "personhood" Can you write-off a fertilized egg as a dependent on your taxes?

If a mother commits a crime, is the fertilized egg considered an accessory?

Can a fertilized egg sue for wrongful imprisonment in a womb?

Can a concerned citizen petition the court for guardianship of a fertilized egg, either in vitro or in utero, if they disagree with the prenatal decisions of the biological parents?

Can I use the HOV lane because I've got "two people" in the car?

The list goes on and on...
