The Colorado Independent: Question: Are most journalists liberal? Answer: Yes.

a good argument for liberalism I would say that the fact that journalists tend to lean more liberal is an indicator of the validity of the liberal agenda, or at least an invalidation of the conservative movement.  Journalists are often the best informed about pressing current issues and have access to inside information that isn't allowed out to the general public.  If the people who are in the best position to observe the difference between conservatives and liberals are so close to unanimous in their choice of a side to support, I think I would trust them.

In my opinion.... I think reporters initially come from a broad spectrum of political beliefs, but after covering the local social problems for a year or two, their political ideals shift.

How can you not believe the war is wrong after interviewing the wounded who return home? How can you turn your back on the poor when you've just taken a photo of a homeless person? How can you turn off your emotions about politics when you are covering the consequences of laws or funding upon the populace?

From my experience, reporters have a harder time hiding their cynicism than their political beliefs.

As ColoradoConfidential.com reporter Sandra Fish pointed out, more publishers tend to support conservative views. Why? If any media person says it's NOT because of advertising revenue, they are lying.
