The very best protest is no public protest at all. Sometime at these events police or other misguided agencies of the state send people in to pretend to be demonstrators. These critters then break windows, create mayhem and cause a reason for the "good guys" to respond with some degree of force. So . . . don't go there. Turn your disrespect and anger into something constructive within yourself. Learn how to deal with the state on your terms, by not playing the game they are happy for you to play. To use a term that might help - bank the fire of your anger at unfairness and injustice, don't extinguish it. Refuse to exhaust yourself for only the tiniest and ultimately forgotten gain.
Imagine now - a big no show protest. Is that silence powerful - you bet. They (control freaks - social engineers) don't know what to do about it. An anger party that no one comes to?
The real power each man and woman has is not all in this physical realm. That silence can be turned into an attitude (not of scorn or anger), a real attitude of personal strength and freedom. Try the exercise at beonebefree.com if you wish. It may provide some insights.

And someone already being one eyed and going to a demo might find that the projectile perversely chooses not to strike the glass eye, and the world goes black - permanently, but with another 60 yrs to live in it.
Or if it strikes the glass eye, in billiard ball fashion, the energy is transferred to the glass eye which promptly acquires instant kinetic energy to burrow itself into the brain.
One dead demonstrator by yet another less than lethal weapons system.
No doubt standing orders will be never to aim at the head . . .
