As far as I know, private contractors in Colorado are subject to oversight not only from the state Department of Corrections, but also by state auditors.

Does Colorado have any oversight responsibilites for GEO facilities in the state? I'm reporting on a plans for a GEO expansion in Michigan. It appears that here state law specifically exempts the company from oversight.
