Birds of a Feather... Perhaps the growing legal problems in Trailhead financial affairs, including potential Trailhead tentacles into the Beauprez campaign, are driving the national committees away because of the fear of "guilt by association."

Trailhead problems could put a damper on Bill Owens' plans to run for president, too.

Half a million down the drain? Nancy Watzman reported here in September that the RGA had contributed $500,000 to Trailhead ostensibly for attack ads to help prop up Bob Beauprez's flagging candidacy. Curiously, Trailhead donors were also contributing large amounts back to RGA presumably after maxing out to Beauprez's campaign.

Has the RGA lost its nerve with the dairy farmer and his sheep-marriage obsessed running mate?
