Why Listen to Him at All You are right. He was and is often dead wrong. He's just quotable. Why does the media continue to quote this crackpot. He needs to be retired to the trash heap of consultants who don't know what they are talking about. He was dead wrong about DIA. Period. He said they would default on the bonds. He said traffic would never reach the levels predicted. He was wrong, wrong, wrong. Quit encouraging this guy. The only reason he has work and continues to be quoted is because you guys do it. Do an analysis of his crap. You'll find out how wrong he was.

Boyd: Bitter and Angry over DIA's success I'm so not interested in this blowhard's latest whining. He has been foaming at the mouth since DIA was proposed, and promised it would be a boondoggle, a fat loser of an airport, and he staked his career on it.

Well guess what? Bonds paid off early. Operating in the black early. With the exception of a luggage debacle and the fact that the airport is inconvenient and lacks good transit options, it has in every single way been a huge economic boon for Denver and for Colorado.

Sure I sound like Tom Clark from the Chamber of Commerce. BUT I have to tell you Mike Boyd is rarely 'dead-on'. Just read his stuff, Cara, which I know you can do. You'll see that while he's a smart guy he's off on a ton of stuff.

As far as blaming Hickenpooper? This time, he's pretty dead on.

no Hickenlooper apologist, I but... what was the mayor to do in one of the worst blizzards to blanket the state, personally de-ice aircraft himself? Make the snow stop in the vicinty of DIA by mayoral declaration?
