Without arbitration or right to strike, its not collective bargaining. It's whats called "meet and confer" or more accurately "meet and beg." Unfortunately SEIU cut a deal with the governor, undermining other unions like CWA that wanted to keep fighting for a real collective bargaining law, and then backed a law taking away the right to strike, all for a weak executive order that will be torn up by the next GOP governor. This is part of SEIU's "partnership" approach where they side with bosses against workers rights.

The upshot for workers under Amendment 47 is that once the unions are in place, the lack of a guaranteed membership means the unions will have to continue to deliver on their promises in order to thrive."

wow , I hope you are wrong. I know that alot of my co-workers and myself will move on to better jobs if things dont change soon. and I know I wont put up with another owens type state goverment.
