Mark Udal to make an official move to US Senate and when that happened a few days ago, it gave her the opening.

It is interesting that Fitz-Gerald emphasized the war in her announcement---most likely for those Progressives in CD2.

Re: Joan Fitz-Gerald Announces Run for Congress

maybe it's just me and my twisted sense of humor The proxy war being fought over A41 (see No Time Left for 41, Lawyer Says) and its implications on the CD-2 race seem to be once again tangled up in Senate President Fitz-Gerald's odd timing of her candidacy announcement today.

Can we just let the damn thing go on the ballot already and let the voters decide what THEY intended?

As far as finding a successor to Rep. Udall, maybe bazooka advocate Dudley Brown could offer up some suggestions on proper dueling accoutrements though with paint ball guns, this is CD-2 afterall.
