The Colorado Independent: Hush, Hush and on the QT: Republicans in Dilemmas; Democrats in Motion

More on the Zakhem Story From the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel:

At the behest of the Mesa County Republican Party, the Colorado Republican Party voted to censure its attorney, John Zakhem, for making a contribution to incumbent Rep. Bernie Buescher, D-Grand Junction.

Zakhem, whose law firm, Zakhem Atherton, represents the Colorado Republican Party, said he was surprised to hear about the central committee's vote to censure him.

Nonetheless, he said he was happy to hear a motion to terminate his service with the party, proffered by Mesa County Republican Party Chairman Gary Roahrig, was defeated in a voice vote.

"I wasn't surprised there was no support to terminate our representation," Zakhem said.

"I'm trying hard to do my job, and I'm just sorry the Mesa County Republicans were so irked over it," Zakhem said. "I regret how it looked for them, but there was no ill intent on my part. I am dedicated to my party, I would say, more than most."

Just out of curiosity.... ....how much tax money is Ritter spending on all this traveling?
  • Leslie Robinson · 2 years ago
Brilliant Idea! I'll ask if the governor's office has figured out the mile-per-person rate yet.

It is a legitimate question, since there seems to be such a significant increase in travel, at the same time that there is such a movement to increase taxes coming out of the governor's office.

Congratulations You've just made a specious analogy. One that no doubt also would prove to be a fallacy if subjected to logical scrutiny.
