LOL A caucus is not representative of the voting public. Look at Texas, Hillary wins the official primary (more people are enabled to vote in primaries) and Barack wins the caucus. I'll take an official primary vote any day over a caucus to garner accurate voting trends.

African American's If Obama wins the popular vote, the delegate count and more states regardless of their size. However Clinton becomes the nominee the DNC will lose the black vote.

huh? So how do explain the huge margins Obama won by in states like Idaho and Colorado? My precinct caucus wasn't exactly diverse except for age diversity.

Grassroots Dems The party is only split if we allow it to be. I am an Obama supporter pledged to support Hillary if she is the nominee. All this "kitchen sink" slinging, etc., may be pretty stupid and repulsive, but we have two stong capable candidates, either of whigh would be far preferrable to four more years of a quasi-Bush presidency. Think also of electing more Dems to the Congress and what kind of Supreme Court and other courts we could be looking at in four years unless we get it together! I've been writing both candidates demanding that they be civil and discuss the issues. Please, all grass-rooters, do the same. If there is any sink or anything else to be slung, let's concentrate on John Flip-Flop McCain, who really would do anything to be elected, including lick the hand of a man who tried to flush him down the toilet a while back!

There is already a split The party is already split. The demographics for each candidate are very established now. It appears that Barack has hijacked our party. He has the "independent " vote and ringer republicans but no traditional democrats with the exception of blacks. And that's an identity vote. He won't hold up in the general. Thanks Barack for being such a divisive figure.

The Obama/Clinton contest is kind of..... ......like watching at train wreck. It's horrible, and you know it, but you can't really take your eyes away from it. The Clintons are really intent on getting back to the White House, and they're willing to destroy anyone and anything that the perceive as getting in their way.
