In today's (July 17) Denver Post story, it notes that Palisade is home to 18 wineries, a brewery and a distillery which are all reliant on clean water. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;Thus, should a drilling accident contaminate Palisade's water source, it would be a blow to their economy as well as affect their drinking supply. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;How would or could a drilling company come up with the funds to pay out damages should that happen? The answer is, "they couldn't."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;That's the bottom line of this drilling in community watersheds debate.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Leslie Robinson</dc:creator><pubDate>Mon, 17 Jul 2006 05:53:22 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
