What a fine bunch of guys I wonder Orr is the same guy I met about 16 or 17 years ago when he was "borrowing" office space at Bob Woodruff's accounting offices.  Woodruff went on to become the Treasuror for Qwest in their high flying days.  Wouldn't suprise me, he was a pretty shady guy then.  Somebody with any integrity would have spotted him a mile away.

More Shires+Orr connections The National Alternative Fuels Association was also implicated in the Octane scandal.

This ia a particularly interesting section on the website:

NAFA is currently engaged in a "David vs. Goliath" battle against the US EPA to force them to stop bending to special interests, to use sound science, as opposed to rigged tests and "forced results," which hurt our environment and drive up our costs. Learn more.

William Orr was the president of NAFA. None other than, Scott Shires was the registered agent [PDF]. Shires resigned in January 2005 when the whole thing started to unravel.

Companion feature story on Shires But I'm Only the Bookkeeper

Earlier today, Colorado Confidential broke the news that Republican political operative, Scott Shires, was charged with multiple counts of federal corporate tax crimes.

These revelations add to an interesting pattern of unreported financial transactions and noncompliance with filing legal documents among some of the political committees that Shires manages in Colorado.
