The Colorado Independent: GM to Denver Convention: Drive my car

GM + Ethanol ----> Bullcrap! 9 million gallons of gasoline saved in a year?  Based on what?  Of course they're not going to tell us how they came to that number.  But considering how dubious ethanol's energy saving claims are in general this seems unlikely.  Also given the rise in corn prices and fertilizer prices it's difficult to picture how it can be price effective.  Most of all, I'd like for the Ogallala aquifer to not be sucked dry trying to grow a tropical grass (that is what corn is).

If convention goers are truly worried about saving energy they should be setting up shuttle buses, not running around in private vehicles coming and going whenever they please.

Delegate Mode of Transportation At the convention in Boston 2004, large Greyhound-sized buses were used to transport delegates back and forth from their hotels to the convention center. Most likely, this efficient plan will be used in Denver.
