Freshman Year, the gay marriage episode: Polis versus Chaffetz
But I still don't know who you are, even if you did have to register. And, even if I did know, I wouldn't tell a soul...
Maybe we can catch up at the GOP state convention in Broomfield. Though I don't know who you are either. Cara and I will work out a secret handshake for Colorado Independent readers so you all can identify yourselves.
I'd like to think that if I went to the convention, I'd be a part of the process and not just a sideline watcher. I'm still intrigued with the process and may just head up there for grins and giggles. Waddya think?
Ok, Cara we need an edit function for stupid fingers.....please.
I'm nobody at all when it comes to the political machine in Colorado or anywhere else for that matter. I'm just someone that decided to see how the process worked and became a delegate for my district here in El Paso County.
I just liked the anonymity of being able to post and not having to register. I understand that brings a certain abuse to that ability and I imagine the process was changes as a result of some dork messing it up for the rest of us.
You can count on that. We've got some great stuff lined up for this week.
You can also sign up to get breaking news and headlines from our Twitter account at http://twitter.com/COindependent
And the times ahead exciting...
I also liked the anonymity of posting.
Wouldn't want to wake up some morning and see the big blue truck across the street.
But the new format looks great, congratulations!
I promise, we have no big blue trucks. For that matter, we have no tanks. We have no Hazmat trucks or hazardous materials response vehicles. We don't even have a Unified Incident Command Vehicle. (See the Riot Toyz R Us story on the front page if you're not sure what I'm talking about). You are safe here, with us.
Am I dating myself?
forcing people to register to send in news tips?
a contact link that goes to "page not found"?
my guess is that you plan to fix all 3 of these errors PDQ?
http://newhavenindependent.org/
The contact page is fixed. Thanks for the heads up on that.
Registering is standard operating procedure for news sites. It helps us keep in touch with our readers (we'll have an optional email alert system soon on breaking news, for example) and allows readers a much more informative and enjoyable experience when one doesn't have to wade through the spitting, kicking and vitriol in comment threads that have overwhelmed other non-registration sites.
More importantly, reserving "your name" prevents others from hijacking your online identity and wreaking havoc among reader communities to discredit your reputation.
