Now, as for the police. The police are employees, paid by the state to act according to the law and not to their own politics. So I think that as the "boss" we have executive prilviledge to tell them when they are acting like thugs, instead of champions of justice. Off-duty police can do or say whatever they like, so we agree there. However, when police are permitted to act like hooligans /off-duty/ and then expected to be on better behavior /on-duty/ ... Well, imagine if we told day-care faculty that they could look at all the kiddie porn they wanted to, and openly discuss sexualizing children /after/ hours, but they'd better be clear of impure thoughts when they come into work?
I wonder how a Red interprets /that/ contradiction?
Of course, we're not talking about that. We're talking about people who are supposed to protect us, not terrify us; At least I sincerely /hope/ that's not what my taxes are paying for. If I want to live in fear, I can wear a grenade on my chest. So when I hear about cops walking around after hours with signs on their backs saying, "We are going to kick your free-speaking asses" ... Well, I have a hard time thinking that's in the interest of political discourse, or mild entertainment. Come to think of it, couldn't a shirt like this (sans the (/) 68 logo) be used by BOTH sides? A "liberal" could wear this shirt as if to say, "This is how Cops are."
Either way, it doesn't bode well for our sovereigns. In all practicality, this shirt shouldn't exist.
By the way, does your mother know you're reading about police violence online? You haven't hacked your NetNanny software, have you?
Is Detective Rogers stupid or trying to deflect the issue? Nobody cares about commemorative shirts. It's the idea of celebrating police brutality that is sickening. And obviously if thousands of these have sold, it casts a lot of doubt on the perennial claims of "one bad apple" every time a cop is caught beating someone.
They say they haven't gotten any complaints about the t-shirt, maybe we should fix that:

There were those that were anarchistic during the DNC Convention, and the T-Shirts refer to them, NOT the majority law-abiding public that doen's vandalize, stop traffic, and otherwise commit ILLEGAL acts.
The police have the toughest job of all, dealing with the dregs of society on a daily basis!
Spike - I WANT ONE TOO if you can get it!
Get it...
Pretty Funny Huh....
Hey... Why aren't the pig apologists laughing....
Hello... is this thing on.... Hello...
(end sarcasm)
How can people trust law enforcement if they're afraid of the people that they as citizens have hired to "protect and serve."
.............
I agree. What a pussy. I'll bet that not only does he have one of those shirts, but that had it been a guy, of equal size standing in that exact spot, that wouldn't have happened.
The economy is crashing, empire is falling, so will the PIGS.
*lol*
Why not just open your post with "I'm a complete moron that lacks the intellectual capabilities to discuss rational matters with adults."
*lol*
OK, so when we come up with "I pack firepower so I can SLAUGHTER the PIGS" T shirts, no harm no foul? Or are you just a hypocritical nebbish?
HUGE DIFFERENCE, they SHOULD be held accountable and and it would be in the state's interest to hold them accountable and watch ther actions so as not to cause public distrust with the state and it's employees.
Many people forget that any government official/employee is employed by WE THE PEOPLE and our tax dollars. They aren't simply private citizens, rather as police officers they've vowed to serve the public.
