Eagle County report Cheers to our post office workers who came in early to process packages and opened on Sunday for a few hours for people to receive their overdue packages.

Jeers that my last package wasn't among them!

Cheers that I have fewer gifts to wrap at the last minute.

Cheers to US Foods who managed to get a truck up from Denver and delivered my restaurants food order when we were about to run out of some items late Saturday afternoon.

Cheers to Edwards Village Market who receive their deliveries from Utah and was well stocked. Reports are that City Market, who gets their deliveries from Denver, was running low.

Cheers to the people in my community who remained cheerful despite the full parking lots and lines where there usually are none.

Cheers to my daughter who still believes in Santa Claus.

Food, we don't no stinking food. Central Denver (Belcaro King Soopers)

No eggs.

Almost no milk.

Lots of empty space in the veggie bins.

Oh, well.

That's what a big snowstorm does to transportation.

However, my wine cellar is well stocked. Do I need food?

Colo Spgs too Had to go to three groceries stores to get potatoes. Fresh fruit - kidding me?

All of Colorado has had the same experience - Thursday we had no mail at the post office. This was not home delivery - we're talking the entire post office and post office boxes - shutdown.

Luckily, we got out on Wednesday and Thursday and got almost all the Christmas dinner shopping done. The malls were heavy but not brutal yesterday (Everyone else in the family had all their shopping done except me).

Hope all have a very safe and wonderful season and beginning of the New Year.

NoCo feeling it too I drove last night around looking for a gas station that had anything but premium but limped home on 1/8 of a tank.

Traffic was insane. A normally quick 10 minute trip from the office to Whole Foods -- which was well-stocked, by the way -- took over an hour because of the volume of cars and side streets that were complete ice sheets.
