The Colorado Independent: Bruce Wins House Seat to Replace Cadman

  • MDarling · 2 years ago
Replacement rules are weird Why should anyone other than the voters get to choose the legislator who will no represent their district?

I get that it works for both parties (we better not ever elect an "unaffiliated" or if we do- we shouldn't let them resign) but it still seems somehow unfair.

Meanwhile- did Bruce ever sign the "Alliance for the Separation of School and State" pledge to eliminate all publicly funded education?

    www.district11watch.com  claims he did -

but the search function on the alliance site is disabled.

Weird The hachet job website that the teachers' union used to attack Republicans running for the school board in Colorado Springs is hardly the best source to seek information about Doug Bruce (or anything else, come to think of it).

D-11 voters spoke twice, and it was real clear to me what they said.

Of course. You can talk about the vote all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that the website in question was specifically for doing a hatchet job.....in fact, told out and out lies about the Republicans running for office in D-11 several times.  I suppose you moveondotorg types figure that is nothing more than business as usual, but after awhile, those same voters will figure it out - particularly when D-11 continues to fail to teach its students at such high rates.

D-11 Mess Don't smack Zappy with the truth. He has no way to process and comprehend such things. It is a strange world in which he lives in.
