Homegrown Terrorists Why aren't these guys the target of the homegrown terrorist prevention act?

...oh yeah, because the right-wing caters to them because they've never had an independent thought in their heads!

Re: Financial harm I agree that the group Colorado Families Against Planned Parenthood should be branded a domestic terrorist group.

"The Patriot Act creates the new legal category of 'domestic terrorist' and defines it in a chillingly broad manner," he wrote in an email. "According to the law, the crime of domestic terrorism is committed when a person engages in activity 'that involves acts dangerous to human life that violate the laws of the U.S. and appear to be intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population or to influence the policy of government by intimidation or coercion.' Clearly 'intimidation' and 'coercion' could mean anything, and the government does not adequately distinguish between violent and nonviolent methods of persuasion."  From Alternet.org article September, 2005

And if this was PETA And if they were using just the same kind of "tactics" (which I personally think are pretty far over the top), I strongly suspect you'd be defending them as engaging in legitimate exercise of their freedom of speech.  This, even though PETA members have also been associated with violence, arson and other criminal behaviors.  But of course, PETA is made up of people from the left side of the political equation, so they'd get a pass from your criticism, wouldn't they?
