If anyone was unsure about the morals and agenda of those pushing for the reduction in wages for hard-working Colorado families, the ultimate effect of Amendment 47, this news ought to clear a few things up. If you want to know whether you should support a law or amendment, look at how is pushing it and how they are doing it.

47 fails on all counts. No on 47.

Many union workers back 'right to work', they are saying YES to Amendment 47.

"Every person in Colorado will agree that our economy is struggling. There are thousands of people who are finding it difficult to pay their mortgage, pay their energy bills or put food on the table.

It's never right to force somebody to give up part of their paycheck to a private organization against his or her will. But in these tough economic times, it's an even greater injustice.

As union workers, we support Amendment 47 because it will return power to the individual, and we hope you join us. It's imperative we pass Amendment 47 in November to advance personal freedom and individual liberty for every worker in Colorado.

Jay Hesterman has been a technician at Qwest for 28 years. Linda Daniels has been a registered dietitian for Kaiser Permanente since 1996. "

But are Mr. Hesterman and Ms. Daniels forced to join a union? The answer is no, under federal law.
  • thegrunt · 1 year ago
If the answer is no, then YES on 47. This simply re-enforces federal law.

Amendment 47 will bring real employee free choice - it is pro freedom plain and simple.

I dont understand . We need to re-enforce a federal law, by changing the state constitution? wouldnt it be simpler to enforce the federal law ? Sure sounds like a big smoke screen . I think it sounds more like it will bring real free choice to employers to cut wages and benefits. its anti - middle class plain and simple. P.S. Johnathan ? Coors? are you working for him ? tell him I said hi and he should listen to old man Coors and vote NO on 47
