The Colorado Independent: 50,000 Watts of Hate: Rant of the Day

Respond to Hate with Hate - Excellent Approach This is just the way to respond to this stuff.  Peter gets out of control sometimes.  But, to suggest that he hates people based upon their surname is simply a lie.  His ire is directed at those who enter and remain in this country illegally regardless of their nation of origin.  When you overstate your case you sound like a hate monger yourself.

Peter Boyles "out of control sometimes?" On the contrary, the record shows that Boyles and his guests explicitly and repeatedly target Hispanic immigrants with their falsehoods about immigration issues. (see  http://colorado.mediamatters.org/issues_topics/people/peterboyles)

Boyles and his guests use bogus "statistics" to state such lies as "13 Americans are killed by drunken Mexican drivers every day on our highways," when there are no actual facts to support the statement. http://colorado.mediamatters.org/items/200609270005

Boyles hosts guests with white nationalist ties -- while omitting any mention of those ties to his audience -- and kisses their asses over bigoted advertising campaigns -- targeting Hispanic immigrants -- that they have sponsored. http://colorado.mediamatters.org/items/200607200006

Boyles hosts and agrees with guests who say such things as, Mexico is "one of the most despicable countries on earth." http://colorado.mediamatters.org/items/200610200003

Boyles is not "out of control sometimes." His long-term record of making and supporting bigoted statements targeting Hispanic immigration make it clear what his agenda is.

if not racism, what would you call it? The children that Boyles inaccurately and hatefully demeans as "anchors" are U.S. citizens.

If his ire, as you refer to it, is directed at people who are in this country without documentation, then why does he continually make strawman arguments about their native-born children after being told time and time again that his point is incorrect?

These children do not confer supra-legal protections to their parents.

While Boyles continues to lie about these children in his rants then I will continue to raise questions about his motives. Secondly, when will Boyles start discussing the 45 percent of undocumented persons in Colorado of nationalities other than Latin American? Until then, his "ire" appears more racially than xenophobically tinged.
